NÄMNDEMANSGÅRDEN

The Councillor's Estate ( NÄMNDEMANSGÅRDEN )
This is Hven's oldest estate and these days it functions as homefarm and museum.
Apart from the actual buildings, there's a collection of old agricultural equipment,
horsedrawn wagons and charabangs. The present property is from about 1790 and
is now owned by Hven's Rural Society.

Various exhibitions and events take place here during summer and the period interior contributes to the unique atmosphere. It's a place worth seeing and is a popular target for the Hven tourist, who can take a break with some homebake and fresh brewed coffee.

The old Church
When coming from the direction of Kungsgården, you can see Nämndemansgården behind "King Oscar's pass".
This was Oscar I's favourite spot when hunting hare before the turn of the century.

You can catch a glimpse of the new southern lighthouse on the horizon.
